My Award Winner

Today was the awards ceremony at Andrew's school. We knew that Andrew would be recognized at this assembly but had no idea that he would be awarded not just one, two or three awards, but FOUR awards.

First one was for Perfect Attendance for the first trimester. No absences, no tardies, and no early departures. Andrew is very dedicated to school and will not be absent for anything.
His second award was for academic achievement in all curriculum areas. He received this for having all A's and B's on his report card.

The third award was a medal of honor for increasing his state testing scores one whole level or more.
And his final award, a star trophy, was for being a CST Achiever. That means he scored Advanced in both Math and Language arts on his state tests.
He has such a passion for school and loves learning. His teacher's only complaint, he reads too much. Reads TOO much? Not bad. I was so excited that the awards ceremony was on a Tuesday because that meant that Daddy could be there to see him get his awards. We also were witness to his raffle number being called. What did he pick out of all the prizes? A book of course! One that he could share with his little sister and brother.

We are so very proud of how hard he works in school and blessed that he has such a zest for learning.
