Andrew's 11th Birthday

On May 27, 2010 we celebrated Andrew's 11th birthday. He has grown-up into such a handsome, fun-loving son. And even though he may be a goofball at times, we are blessed beyond measure to have him as our son.For his birthday we got him a basketball hoop. He was super excited when it showed up in the front of the house one day and could not wait to try it out.Daddy and him have been getting in some pretty good one-on-one time, all while dodging Alexis and Aiden who are running around beneath them.

In keeping with the whole basketball theme of the birthday I attempted to make him a basketball birthday cake. I wish that it could have been more ball like in shape and have since learned how I could have achieved that look. Overall I was pretty pleased with how it turned out, though it was certainly a labor of love. Thankfully our teeth were not stained orange and black too bad.
